Join us in celebrating National Early Childhood Literacy Awareness Day, one book at a time! Here are some ways that you can celebrate:

Activities:
As detailed in the US Senate Resolution, there are many activities you can do to support early childhood literacy. These activities include:

•Reading often to children, especially at the preschool age
•Telling stories
•Visiting Libraries
•Teaching letters and words
•Introducing children to the world of literacy through literacy- themed activities




Donate a Book to a Child in Need
In the United States, millions of children go without books due to poverty and book deserts which are detrimental to their early childhood literacy development.
If you would like to make a donation to a disadvantaged child in preschool, 100% of your donation will go to the purchase of brand-new Scholastic books for preschool children that live below the poverty line in Head Start programs:
